Handmade Wood Boats

The Wooden Boats That Sparked a Craft

My woodworking journey began with an unexpected muse—elegant wooden kayaks discovered during a special paddling trip with friends. Captivated by their beauty and craftsmanship, I took on the challenge of building my first kayak from a kit. This experience ignited a passion that led me to construct more boats, from sleek kayaks and classic canoes to a charming driftboat.

These boats have since found new homes through friends and charity auctions, they played a crucial role in refining my skills. Though I now focus on crafting live edge furniture and wall art, these vessels remain a significant part of my story, representing the roots of my woodworking journey.

While no longer for sale, these boats stand as a proud testament to the artistry and craftsmanship that shaped my passion for woodwork.
